Compilées par les soins de Janie Hendrix avec une préface de John McDermott, les 186 pages de Jimi Hendrix: The Lyrics nous livrent les textes de 71 chansons de Jimi Hendrix.

Les paroles sont le plus souvent accompagnées de superbes photos, certaines n'étant pas des plus courantes. La qualité du papier est au RDV pour de belles reproductions.



Pas d'explication ou interprétation des textes, juste les mots de Jimi, avec de nombreuses reproductions des manuscrits originaux, présentant parfois l'évolution des textes.



La couverture cartonnée est en fait noir, mais il y avait tellement de lumière ce midi qu'elle semble bleue !



La principale critique du livre concerne l'exactitude des textes retranscrits. Difficile de juger pour quelqu'un dont ce n'est pas la langue maternelle.

Intéressant : on retrouve les paroles de "Crash Landing", un titre pourtant inédit du catalogue officiel Experience Hendrix LLC.

Par rapport à la première édition est ce qu'on retrouve dedans les textes présentés dans "Cherokee Mist - The Lost Writings" ? Le bouquin te semble faire le tour de l'ensemble des manuscrits connus ?
