“The previous time he performed in Mariebergsskogen he and his Experience drew approximately 3,500 spectators, this time almost 8,000. Not everyone was able to get tickets for seats to be able to see "sexy Jimi" but all 8,000 could hear him. Rarely have so few been responsible for so much noise. But something was missing to make the evening complete. Maybe it was the audience, maybe one was a bit disappointed at Jimi Hendrix. Especially during the later show the audience gave a cold appreciation and Jimi and his band left without an encore. The first set "went down well" with the young audience and during the intermission Jimi said he was satisfied. "I like the Swedes, they sit still and listen to my music and I think they understand it." There were no riots, not trouble as for instance when the Rolling Stones were in Orebro and there were no hysterical girls trying to rush the stage when Jimi performed. Jimi's stage work was not top-rank, and that he doesn't deliberately tries to be sexy we can not believe.”
