Londres ( Les Cousins) : 5 octobre 1966
Témoignage de Andy Matheou ( un chypriote grec) : "At that time there were a lot of American bluesmen here, and Alexis Corner thought it would be good to get everyone together for an all-nighter with him topping the gig. That was the night Hendrix came in with Chas Chandler, his manager. And nobody had ever seen him before, this pale, quiet dude, and he just paid his money and walked in with no fuss. Later they asked him to play and he plugs in his white Fender and does, all his stuff with his teeths and just blows everybody's mind. Afterwards somebody says to Alexis, "Wow, he's great, isn't he?" and Alexis just nods and says in that voice of his, " Pretty good, yeah, pretty good." i mean, imagine seeing Hendrix for the first time. PRETTY GOOD."
